What
is Agile Project Management?
So
often, teams deliver on the technical issues of a project but loose sight
of the business value the project originally promised to achieve.
The team can claim success in that the deliverable meets time,
scope, and budget requirements.
But who’s making sure that the deliverable adds value to the
organization?
And who’s measuring that value against the original business
objective? To be really successful, project managers need to understand
that the business and technical environment surrounding their project is
in a constant state of change, often causing business and project
objectives to diverge.
Agile Project Management equips project leaders and managers to
recognize, understand, and manage the changes that are critical to
delivering real value to an organization through projects.
This
2.5-day course helps overcome organizational challenges by providing a new
perspective that takes project management to the next level – an agile one!
By integrating core PM mechanics, organizational strategy, and
change management, as well as, looking at the basic infrastructure
necessary to get you started, Agile
Project Management delivers fresh ideas that will reenergize your PM
efforts and arguably provide you with a competitive advantage in today’s
fast-paced world.
Light
on theory and heavy on practical applications, Agile Project Management explores the most valuable and applicable
elements of PM, how they work together in the real world, and how you can
immediately apply them to advance your business objectives.
The facilitators will use materials from the books that they have
authored along with additional handout resource material.
Each participant will have a unique opportunity to demonstrate
agile project management skills by managing a simulated project team using
a golf course as the venue.
