Although, "a picture is worth a thousand words," is a
very clichéd phrase, a picture is a visual expression of
peoples' feelings and can be effectively used to
surface multiple perspectives of what should be a
commonly understood initiative.
Ken Hobson was a successful Senior Artist at Walt
Disney World as well as other advertising and design
firms before opening his own studio. His clients have
included Better Homes and Gardens, General Motors,
Dow Chemical, Wachovia Bank, RJR Nabisco, J.C.
Penney's and Kellogg.
IMAGILITY is a product that helps organizations
accelerate the implementation of new initiatives
through the facilitated application of images in action-
planning or problem-solving sessions. More than 120
color paintings and photographs are
packaged in a booklet form for reuse in multiple
settings and purposes.
Clients have found IMAGILITY to be a useful addition to
projects such as Customer Relationship Management,
Supply Chain Management, Cultural Integration
resulting from
Mergers and Acquisitions, New Team Leadership, New
Product Introduction, Six Sigma Implementation, etc.
Client experience with this product include comments
like "IMAGILITY proved to be an excellent way to
engage a group of senior-level leaders in discussions on
very focused issues."

| Managing Change from the Heart Through TUESDAY'S CHILDREN -- Interview with Chris Burke, President of TUESDAY'S CHILDREN |
 |
The organization is TUESDAY'S CHILDREN, a family
support
network for all those who lost a parent in the
September 11 tragedy. TUESDAY'S CHILDREN takes a
different approach than most charitable groups to help
fill the void left by the moms and dads who were taken
away on September 11, 2001. The program develops
relationships with sports franchises, amusement parks,
and other special resources made available to families
to help fill Saturday afternoons, summer vacations, and
long weekends with memorable activities the children
might otherwise miss out on.
Nick: How is TUESDAY'S CHILDREN different from other
Non-Profit Organizations? Chris: TUESDAY'S CHILDREN
builds a
family support network, by providing access to and
between affected families who are attempting to cope
with the issues they share.
Nick: How long will TUESDAY'S CHILDREN provide
support
to these families? Chris: The support continues
with an ongoing mentor program whereby the older
children of 9/11 mentor the younger ones -- who will
themselves become potential mentors as they grow
older. TUESDAY'S CHILDREN is an eighteen-year
commitment.

Project Management Agility -- Learn how to integrate
project management and change management to build
agile project teams through customized training in
project management agility.
Quote from a Book Review on Amazon.com -- A reader
from Rochester, NY:
"All of the tools for Fundamentals of Change
Management are in the book. It is an excellent
reference book for consultants."
Project-related work is becoming more critical to our
organizations' success. We are asked to initiate and
successfully complete more projects that are
increasingly complex and interconnected in sometimes
subtle and unexpected ways. The tolerance for failure
is near to none; the cost of poor project
implementation can easily run into the millions and
derail an organization's successful track record.
Speed to market is quickly becoming the banner of
many projects that yield, at a minimum, a short-term
advantage to those organizations that can effectively
and efficiently implement projects faster than their
competitors.

A unique program called Leadership Insights,
Nimbleness, and Knowledge Seminar (LINKS) has been
introduced to executives, business owners, human
resource professionals, and other managers to develop
their agility at leading during times of continuous
change. LINKS is the brainchild of organizational
psychologist, Nick Horney.
Dr. Horney's experience of over 25 years consulting
with and coaching leaders and managers in Fortune
500
firms as well as privately held companies has resulted
in
a program that uses the golf course and the game of
golf to illustrate and practice the agility required to be
successful as a leader during very challenging and
constantly changing times.
The public seminar is designed to last for 2-½ days and
can be customized for an individual company that
wants to integrate LINKS with its current approach to
leadership development. There is no prerequisite that
participants play golf in order to benefit from this
program since it is primarily designed to help leaders
lower their Leadership Agility Handicap with a by-
product being an improved golf handicap. Participants
learn about and practice individual, team and
organizational agility, both on and off the golf course.
LINKS is built upon a foundation of self-discovery,
coaching and guided practice through multiple forms of
leadership, psychological and physical agility
assessment (e.g., 360-degree golf swing, 360-degree
survey of leadership agility, a leader's approach to
change, and personality type).
A group of executives from organizations
headquartered in and outside of the Triad area recently
participated in LINKS at the Grandover Resort in
Greensboro, N.C. The participants stressed the
personal and organizational impact that the LINKS
program was able to achieve.
"The Program is a professional touchstone and a
chance to get an executive tune-up." - Dave Oddo,
Advantis Real Estate Services, Raleigh, NC.
"The strategies we're using out here on the course can
easily apply to business. When the front door is
locked, you have to figure out how to go in the side
door." - Robert E. Lee, Optima Services, Inc.,
Greensboro, NC.
